TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Documentation

  1. To qualify for participation in biofeedback/neurofeedback therapy, the following conditions must be met:

    a) completion of a health interview with the patient,

    b) completion of a QEEG biofeedback diagnosis at the clinic.

  2. The parent/legal guardian/patient is required to provide accurate and complete information about the patient, especially regarding current medications and other forms of therapy being undertaken.

  3. The parent/legal guardian/patient must complete the required medical documentation before starting therapy.

  4. After reviewing these terms and conditions, the parent/legal guardian/patient must confirm their acceptance in writing.

Therapy Room and Equipment

  1. Therapy and diagnosis sessions are conducted one-on-one: patient and therapist.

  2. The patient may only be present in the therapy room in the presence of the therapist.

  3. Eating and drinking are not allowed in the therapy room.

  4. The patient is responsible for keeping the room clean and orderly.

  5. The patient or their parent/legal guardian is liable for any intentional damage to equipment.

  6. The use of electronic devices (e.g. phones, tablets) is prohibited during sessions.

  7. Silence is required in the therapy room.

  8. The therapist is not responsible for any valuables left in or outside the therapy room.

Sessions

  1. The patient must wash their hair no later than the day before the biofeedback/neurofeedback session.

  2. During the session, the patient’s hair must be dry and free from styling products (e.g. hairspray, gel).

  3. The therapist will provide the parents/legal guardians/patient with an introduction to the basics of the therapy.

  4. After the required documents have been signed, an initial diagnosis will be carried out.

  5. The therapy may be based on the diagnosis, interview, recommendations from psychological/pedagogical counseling centers, neurologists, or observations by other specialists.

  6. A second diagnosis will be conducted after 10 training sessions to evaluate progress.

  7. After approximately 40–50 sessions, the QEEG examination should be repeated at the clinic.

  8. Each session lasts up to 50 minutes, including organizational activities, and is adapted to the patient’s psychophysical capabilities.

Interruption, Withdrawal, and Absence

  1. Therapy may be interrupted or terminated in the following situations:

    a) repeated unjustified absences,

    b) lack of patient cooperation that prevents effective therapy,

    c) no therapeutic progress or signs of overtraining (the therapist may suggest an alternative form of therapy),

    d) two unexcused absences,

    e) decision by either party with appropriate justification,

    f) health conditions that contraindicate biofeedback/neurofeedback therapy (especially neurological or psychological issues).

  2. Absences must be reported at least one day in advance.

  3. If a session is cancelled less than 8 hours before the scheduled time, the patient is obliged to pay 100% of the session fee.

  4. If the patient feels unwell or experiences pain during therapy, they must immediately inform the therapist.

  5. The parent/legal guardian/patient is required to promptly inform the therapist about any health issues, especially of a neurological or psychological nature.
